When you first start outlook 2002 you will get the following screen. Simply click on 'Next >' to continue.
Next, you will be asked if you would like to configure an E-mail account. Make sure that 'Yes' is selected, and then click on 'Next >'
The server type for BBS 42 is POP 3. Select this option and then click on Next.
The wizard will now ask for you to enter your information.
Under the 'general' tab, you can type in the name of the account. It will default to 'mail.albedo.net' -- you can change it to something more recognizable. Do not put a reply e-mail in unless you wish for people to send replies to your emails to another address.
You should never need to change anything under the outgoing server tab. We do not require authentication.
You should connect using your phone line, dialing in to BBS 42 (or whatever you have named your dial-up connection)
You should not need to change the settings in this tab. The defaults should be correct.
Once you are satisfied with all of your settings, lick on 'OK' and then 'Next' on the email accounts window. It will take you to this screen. Click on 'Finish' to complete the setup.
In order to check or change your settings, click on 'tools' and then 'accounts'.
On the E-mail Accounts window, choose the 'View or change' dialog button, and then click on 'Next >'
Select your email account name (BBS 42 in the example) and then click on 'change'. This will take you to the Email Accounts box, which was shown earlier during the setup portion of this page.
